ANA SCHOOL OF CREATIVITY

The ANA SCHOOL OF CREATIVITY, with its in-person and online activities, is one of the major supporters of L’OFFICINA Imagination lab.

Since the beginning of its activity, it has offered various laboratories and residencies, both to individuals and small groups of creative explorers, giving them the opportunity to move, recharge, rediscover well-being and a zest for live.
Through dynamic meditations, breath work, dance, movement and creative expressions such as writing and drawing, the participants have contemplated the contents of their inner world, experiencing significant transformations, and reaching “the house of peace”, a physical and emotional place one arrives to immersing oneself in the depths of one’s interiority, arriving at the inviolated, intact core of one’s being.
It was not necessary for the participants to have previous artistic experience to take part in these workshops, because in this practice creative expression is aimed at introspection and is a tool for self-knowledge.

The ANA SCHOOL OF CREATIVITY has also offered artist residencies to:

Marina Anken, Swiss designer, Master of Arts in Social Design at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences, who worked on the Le Cachemirien textile archive, finding inspiration for a graphic novel “the poetry of an encounter”, yet to be published.

Valeria Pierini, Umbrian artist photographer, who worked on the theme of the sacred and the waters and produced images in dialogue with the territory, its geography, and its people, later winning the Arcipelago prize for emerging artists with the leporello she created, “Whales obey God.”

Giorgia Capoccia, textile artist, who makes one-off pieces of clothing in her hallowasabi laboratory studio, has worked for the project “The sacred and the waters” as well. She has reflected on the idea of the archive, creating, among other works, “Approximately one square meter of ancient sea”, a textile object with remnants of silk, organza, hand-spun and hand-woven muslin in India from the Le Cachemirien archive, that she has stitched together by hand with recycled silk thread.

Olivia Ithurbide, Parisian ceramist and therapist, who worked on chorality and impermanence on a 25-kilo block of clay, animated by the energetic presence of the hands of the participants guided by Olivia into a modified state of consciousness thanks to meditation, listening to their emotions.
